Digital has arrived! A Sony Alpha 100 camera was purchased 2nd hand and its first trial was to Ashburton to see Ja 1260, it performed well, and around 300 shots were taken.

This is a selection of photos taken around New Zealand, and Australia, featuring some well known, and some not so well known railways and engines. Also included are some unofficial sites, these cover some of my favourite railway sites within New Zealand, engines which are special, and general information.

A project I have been working on with the Federation of Rail Organisations of New Zealand (FRONZ) has been the New Zealand Rolling Stock Register, since about 2001-2002 I had been compiling my own list of preserved rolling stock in New Zealand, then in June 2006 I was nominated to be the NZ convenor of Rolling Stock for FRONZ.
